The Primate of the Church celebrated his Name Day

On the feast-day of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Vladimir and on the day commemorating Saints Constantine and Elena, metropolitan of Moscow and All Rus, Korniliy, was honoured in the Intercession Cathedral in the Rogozhskoe settlement. Having been baptized Constantine, metropolitan Korniliy celebrated his Name Day on July 3. This year, he turns 72 years old.

Many guests traveled from all across Russia and abroad to congratulate the metropolitan. Guests included the bishop of Chisinau and All Moldavia, Evmeniy; bishop of Yaroslavl-Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir, Vikentiy; archpriest Leontiy Pimenov (Orekhovo-Zuyevo); archpriest Artemon Shendrigailov (Borovsk); archpriest Alexei Mikheev (Ustyanova); father Alexei Lopatin (Moscow); father Constantine Lukichev (Orekhovo-Zuyevo); father Mikhail Rozhkov (Kolomna); father Maxim Andreev (Shuvoe); father Dimitri Boyarsky (Elkino); father Vitaly Matveev (Selivanikha); father Vasily Andronikov (Moscow); protodeacon Victor Saveliev and deacon Alexander Devin.

Father Constantine Lukichev was gifted a cross on the occasion of his fiftieth Name Day. Many kind words and well wishes were expressed at the end of the church service and the festivities continued over a shared meal for everyone that was present.
