Another academic year has ended in the Moscow Old Believer Theological School. On Friday, June 1, the full-time and part-time second year students completed the final training in the form of a comprehensive examination.
The exam included the following subjects: the Church charter, Church singing, History of the Old and New Testaments, Catechism, History of the Ancient Church, History of the Old Believers, Russian History and Iconology. The exam was lead by a committee, which consisted of teachers from the MSDU and was headed by the director of the school, Anatoliy Ivanovich Shatokhin.
The next day, a celebration took place within the walls of the MSDU, during which the Metropolitan of Moscow and All Russia, Korniliy, addressed the graduates with a complimentary speech and awarded them graduating diplomas from the school. Teachers of the MSDU also spoke parting words.
In 2018, MSDU prepared 20 graduates. Of these, 5 students studied on a full-time program and 15 – by correspondence.
