St. Nicholas was always especially revered in Russia. Of course, such a large spiritual center such as Rogozhskoe, could not help but dedicate one of its holy shrines to Saint Nicholas. The very first church built on Rogozhskoe was in honor of him and it was this church that was taken by the Synodal power in the middle of the 19th century.
The church lost by the Old-believers is located in the northernmost part of the Rogozhskoe complex. The northern side-chapel of the Intercession Cathedral was also later consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas. The church feast day in memory of the saint was headed by metropolitan Korniliy, in the Intercession Cathedral.
