On September 10, the day of commemoration of our venerable father Moses Murin, upon the blessing of the Right Reverend Korniliy, metropolitan of Moscow and all Russia, the delegation of the ROOBC together with the researchers – participants of the scholarly project “Orthodox Old Believers in Uganda: Socio-Cultural Processes in African Christian Communities” financially supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, arrived in Uganda.
They plan to visit the parishes in Mpererve (suburb of Kampala), Nakabaale and Kapeke. Thanks to the donations of Russian Old Believers they plan to provide all possible charitable assistance, conduct the conference of the parishes, perform necessary rites and teach the local Christians the Ancient Orthodox traditions.
