On September 14, students and teachers of the Moscow Old Believer Theological School (MSDU) performed a prayer service on the occasion of the church new year. According to the tradition, the new academic year at MSDU begins on September 14 (September 1 according to the old calendar). The priest of the Rogozhskoye churches and MSDU teacher, Vasiliy Andronikov, led the prayer service with the blessing of water, after which those gathered walked in a procession of the Cross around the building of the religious school.
Starting 2024, MSDU will be located in the building of the former hospital named after Sergey Morozov, built at the expense of his mother Theodosia Yermilovna Morozova at the address: Rogozhskiy settlement, 29 building 7. In the summer of 2024, renovations were carried out here, a training and singing class, a library, and a refectory were equipped.
After completing the prayer service, Fr. Vasily Andronikov and Director of MSDU A.I. Shatokhin addressed the first-year students and all those present with a welcoming speech. In the new academic year, 10 people were admitted to MSDU for the first year.
